2018 was a great year for my family. We got Married! Our wedding day was definitely a highlight so I wanted to look back on it and share some photos. We had a full weekend of fun in the beautiful town of Tamworth NH. Here is a recap of our perfect weekend.
Venue: The Preserve at Chocorua
Dress: Pronovias Felicidad
Food: KC’s Rib Shack
Desert: Kane Donuts & Cupcakes 101
Photographer: Classic Photographers – Kassandra Russell
My family and I arrived at the venue and unloaded everything from food to decorations. We decorated the barn as much as we could so we didn’t have to worry about later. Throughout the day and evening friends and family slowly started to arrive and get settled in their rooms. That night we had a pizza party, played games, drank, and everyone got to know one another.
On Friday, the plan was to do a corn maze, but unfortunately I read the website wrong and it was not open on Fridays. Whoops! That didnt ruin our day though. The girls and I decided to go to check out Tamworth Distilling Co. and do some liquor tasting. After, we ate lunch at the cutest little cafe in town before heading back to get ready for the rehearsal. Friday night was of course the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The Rehearsal dinner was held in a beautiful tent on site and we had my husband and I’s favorite; Tacos! The dinner was mexican themed with all the taco fixings you can imagine along with quesadilla’s and of course Margaritas were being served at the bar. Our friends catered it for us and they did such an amazing job.
Saturday of course was the big day.
I started off the morning feeling a little nervous but more excited than anything else. The venue has the most amazing bridal suite that the girls and I got ready in. A family friend Darlene was making mimosa’s for us all morning. My friend Katrina and bridesmaid did my makeup, she is a makeup artist in Nashville and one of my oldest friends. My Matron of Honor Taylor did my hair as she is my hair dresser. My other friend and bridesmaid Lauren is also a hair dresser and helped with the girls makeup and hair as well. I have a pretty stacked set of bridesmaids. My baby girl Lucy joined us as well. She was the cutest little flower puppy.
The first look
Victor and I decided to do a first look so we could get some of the nerves out of our system while still capturing us seeing each other for the first time on camera. We were also able to get some pictures of us done ahead of time so there was less to do after the ceremony. We did the first look at a small bridge right on Chocorua Lake. The spot was perfect. I was certainly tearing up when I first saw him it was bitter-sweet and one of my favorite moments of the day.
At this point I was mostly feeling excitement. I just nervous that I wasnt going to get through my vows without crying. We both wrote our own vows and im glad we decided to do that, it made it so much more personal. Our vows were actually very similar to one another, which I thought was funny.
Dinner and Dancing
Dinner was catered by KC’s Rib Shack another favorite of Victor and I’s. Everyone said it was delicious and the little I had of it, they were right. I was so overwhelmed and pre occupied with seeing everyone that I didn’t quite get to enjoy dinner. I did very much enjoy the dance floor though. It was full all night which is exactly what I wanted! Desert was done by Kane Donuts and Cupcakes 101, also perfection. My maid of honor and sister Sydney and Matron of Honor Taylor gave speeches along with Zach who spoke the Best Man’s speech as he was unable to be there due to last-minute circumstances. Victor and I did a fun dance to Foot Loose by Blake Shelton after our first dance and half way through the song Victor pulled up my mom and sister to finish the dance off. It was a surprise to everyone and so fun!
Father Daughter Dance
Mother Son dance
The whole day went so well, the weather was great, and everything went off without a hitch (mostly). It was perfect in our eyes.
